ABOUT THE ARTIST

His representational work is drawn from ordinary urban space — cafés, restaurants, the passageways and thresholds that give a city its character wherever it is found. Running alongside it is a body of abstract and decorative work built from natural form and optical effect. The two bodies inform one another: the same eye that finds structure in a storefront finds it in a leaf.

Kramp works in oil, acrylic, and ink, with originals available as prints across a range of substrates. He exhibits regularly throughout Minnesota and shows at art fairs nationally. He also accepts commissions, working from an image, a style, or a palette a client has responded to.

He’s been working on a collection of landscape pieces over the last two years and the gallery is showing a selection of them.
